Wim Wenders' "Wings of Desire" is almost a totally black and white movie (despite the fact that it was released in 1987) , in which angels dream of becoming mortal..
I really liked the lyric that accompanies the movie.
Song of Childhood
By Peter Handke
When the child was a child
It walked with its arms swinging,
wanted the brook to be a river,
the river to be a torrent,
and this puddle to be the sea.
When the child was a child,
it didn’t know that it was a child,
everything was soulful,
and all souls were one...

i'm glad that trains to Charing X didn't run properly today, as thanx to this i had a long walk on my way to work and on the way back too. i change the route though, to see more. and the stroll was well worth it, as there's normally no time to just walk and look around and contemplate and 'take a deeper breath'..
