today i attended a so called 'diverse day at penguin'. i got an invitation to their open day through my uni. there were maybe 40 people and i was one of few foreigners. most of people were english and they came from different universities, from outside london as well, like cambridge for instance. it was in strand, one of the most popular streets in central london. penguin offices are in a perfect location. with a view on parliament and london eye.. and of course, the event itself was very well organised. they provided us with snacks, very nice lunch and even gifts - everyone received six books each and other goodies;) the aim of the event was to introduce to interested students and graduates a career in publishing, in penguin publisher of course. people from different departments were telling about their jobs, their day to day activities and what is the most important - how they got in there.
well, i found it quite interesting and i may consider doing a work placement there. everything's possible.
and then i went to GAP..
but at least today i was properly accepted as an employee. i received some documents, a number to clock in/out and the most important - my discount card;)
the job of course is easy wizzy lemon squizzy, people are fine as well, so total freestyle. i should surrvive till new year there..
btw, gadu radio smak 80 lat - rulezzz!
dobranoc, i mean i'm gonna read stuff for media now... unless i zzZZzzzzz............
p.s. wszystkiego najlepszego z okazji urodzin Daniel!
