Święta Święta...

have been really pleasent and relaxing, although away from home and those who make me feel home, no matter where we are together.
zupa grzybowa, pierogi, Wyborowa, bigos, Żubrówka, kutia, maczki. these are all the goodies prepared or bought by Iza's mum and dad, as well as two well-known Polish vodkas that most of you might have heard of i believe... and Tokaji (this one is a gift form Balint's dad).
i also got myself to start jogging yesterday. and i'm enjoying it very much!;]

Christmas in London

i'd a plan to give a 'shitty xmas' title to this post. i planned it when i'd made my decission about not going to Poland for xmas. recently however, i've realised that it's not so bad to be here at this time of the year. and as i'd been slowly getting used to this idea, i also stopped being sad. here are the reasons:
even though this year christmas lack of their magical spirit, as i can't be with my beloved ones (decorating the christmas tree and waiting for the snow are always nice activities too;), they are different and not bad at all. i've still had a christmas dinner (Iza's nice family came over two days ago and they brought lots of yummy Polish delicacies;), there were Polish Christmas carols and a wafer, i've spoken to my Family and my Love on the phone, i've received some nice and even a little bit surprising christmas greetings (txt messages and xmas cards from our neighbours), and some gifts too :* and another good one - i avoided all this unnecessary christmas rush and pressure at the same time ;)
i'm glad that i have a chance to experience how festive period looks like over here and what's more - i'm glad to have some time for myself. i've got some little plans and arrengements and now it's the time to make things happen, think them over and to relax.

Fog with a big 'F'

London has finally accepted its literary form of grey and gloomy days and its become sorrounded by this heavy fog that caused even some disruptions in earth and air traffic. that's why one of my flatmates' journey to Budapest (one Slovak Hungarian;) lasted three hours more that it had supposed to.
these misty days however, have also been filled with British Christmas atmosphere - Xmas shopping amok and frequent reports of 'Xmas binge drinking' ;)
and you just can't escape either of those. i've only experienced the former though. or maybe so far ;)
and so i've done some little shopping what gave me some sort of pleasure of being on the other side of the retail business.
my house, even though it lacks Xmas tree, it's been equipped with some Xmas lights and a gold star. (the second one thanx to my other flatmate, who has 'brought' it from GAP;)
