what's on (my mind)

i'm having a quiet period here in the sticks ;) it's a time of doing some summer work, relaxation and getting ready for a real summer, as the weather here has been absolutely english (awful!) for more than a month now...
not much has happened around me personally that i would like to put on display, however quite a lot has happened in england that touched me in certain ways. those who live here are aware of all these events, and those of you who don't, have probably been informed about this and that by the omnipresent media. some of the hot issues that you could here about and that are being repeated dozens of times over the last couple of weeks include:
havy rains and several flooding in south and east of the country; an appointment of gordon brown for a new prime minister; setting the highest security alert due to three failed terrorist attacks (this sounds like a reminder of london 7/7 july bombings..); smoking ban that took place on july 1st at 6 am (thank you for this one!); wembley (charity) concert held on july 1st as a remark of the 10th anniversary of princess diana's death; it was lead by princes harry and william and celebrated of what would have been their mother's 46th birthday;...
all right, that's enough of my bbc24 kind of talk.

i should make up for those quiet days soon and hopefully fulfil your visual sense a bit more folks as the rest of the summer looks very promising...

till then!..
